[ Lance is quiet for a minute. Normally he's Team Hunk all the way, and will have his bro's back no matter what, but... He misses the hell out of Earth and his family. He's wanted to go home for ages. And sure, being here is less insane than living on the Castle and nearly dying on a regular basis, but it's still not Earth. ]
[ It stings hearing that Lance isn't on his side. He'd never really thought about any kind of alternative, honestly. But he understands it. He's just glad his buddy can't see his face. Hunk clears his throat. ]
Yeah, I get it, man. You guys have family to go home to. But for me..
[ He sighs. He's never told Lance before, but it's never really come up before either. ] I have some really awesome older siblings with family of their own and stuff that I know I always have a place with, but my parents aren't really a factor and .. I dunno, I wanna give them space to make their own families, you know? It's part of why I went off to join the Garrison. I made friends, made it feel like home. Then we ended up on the ship in space, and I tried to do the same thing. I made friends, made it feel like home. And now we're here.
I guess I'm just kinda tired of having to start over every time. I was worried before you and Keith got here, but now my best friend and my other teammate are here, and I just... I dunno, man. Guess this is the closest thing to home and a family I've got right now is all. And as soon as we go back everyone splits up, right? Where do I go then?

It must've been a misunderstanding or something with Shiro. I mean, they would've wanted him in decontamination anyway, even if the Kerberos mission had come back just fine, right?
I just. I dunno, I'm gonna miss everyone is all. It feels like what we have here with everyone is the best it's gonna be. We're safe, we're eating, we're mostly not coming back all beaten up. I get it, I know the Voltron stuff is important, but I don't get why enjoying this here, now, is a bad thing.
[He scratches his head] I guess you're right. But man, we've both had plenty of decontamination showers and I don't remember dudes strapping me to a table.
I agree the strapping him to a table thing was a little much, but they had to have a good reason for it, right?
Anyway, I don't disagree with you. This place is nice, it's easy, and we're all together. But I don't wanna stay here forever, y'know? For all we know, stuff's happening back in our universe without us, now that we're all here.
