[ Lance is gonna crack. He's gonna crack and laugh any second, he's sure of it, keep it together. ]

[ He scootches over on the bed so Keith can sit, if he'd like, and he uses the movement to hide his face behind the magazine to regain his composure for a second. ]

[ He bites the inside of his cheek as he pats the open spot invitingly. ]

[ Keith strides over to the bed with intense, focused purpose, and takes a seat with all the stiff, cranky awkwardness of an emotionally damaged teenage boy wearing a sparkly space ho crop top. He can't tell if Lance is playing chicken with him, but if he is, Keith's sure as hell not going to lose. ]

[ Okay. Cool. He sat down. Lance has totally got this. He can 100% keep a straight face and turn back to reading his magazine. He looks down at it and flips a page. ]

[ And then he's completely fucking losing it, breaking down into hysterical laughter at the absurdity of this whole situation. ]

[ Keith jumps to his feet like he's about to be attacked, crossing his arms tight over his chest like that actually helps. ]

I knew you were gonna laugh!

[ He absolutely can't breathe, he's laughing so hard, gasping out words where he can. ]

[ He's so flustered his ears start to go red. ]

[ Lance flails an arm as he laughs, something that in his head is meant as a "no wait" motion, but it really doesn't come out like that. ]

[ Keith hesitates as he turns for the door, giving him a second more than he probably should. ]

[ Lance wheezes for a second. ]

Oh my god, dude, you can't tell me that wasn't hilarious!

[ Keith huffs, folding his arms tighter across his chest. ]

Shiro said you said it was a bonding exercise. I didn't get how, but he also said you'd get chore duty if you laughed at me.
